"Red Cavalry Summer 08 Tour Press Release"

Trickykid Entertainment Group 2517 41st Ave Long Island City, NY 11101 817.939.1555

For Immediate Release:
July 14th 2008
Red Cavalry hits the road for Summer Tour of the States

Brookyn’s own Red Cavalry who released their sophomore effort “Geography of Nowhere” earlier this year, are set to hit the road this week on their quest for world domination.
College radio has been all over the band this year and the first single from the new album “Where the blood runs from”, has been getting adds in new markets all across the country since the album’s release. The band is no stranger to immediate attention as the band in its previous incarnation Masters of the Lunaverse also saw its fair share of cult potential. Why the name change? The band explains:

“With the loss of our drummer and the addition of Mike we wanted a fresh start. From this point forward we want to create music with this lineup, with no confusion as to who writes every song from this album forward.”

So out of the ashes of MOTL, new solidarity was found and born as Red Cavalry. The new inspiration is clearly on display all throughout “Georgraphy of Nowhere” as whipsmart lyrics make right turns as the music takes left ones in an original, intelligent design.

2008 is already shaping up to be their year and the Summer and Fall seasons that lie ahead will be filled with more single releases, a Summer tour and slew of activity at year’s end.
Here are the dates:
July 13th The Kyber – Philadelphia
July 17th The Smiling Moose- Pittsburgh
July 18th Paycheck’s – Detroit
July 19th The Cobra Lounge – Chicago (Official Pitchforkfest After Party)
July 21st Mojo’s – Columbia, MO
July 24th Knickerbockers – Lincoln, NB
July 25th JB’s Speakeasy – Lacrosse, WI
July 27th Shea Rileys – Omaha, NB
July 28th The Basement – Columbus, OH

The band is available for interviews/phoners and in studio performances as well as in-store appearances.

Red Cavalry

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

We’ve got some great new music for you today, courtesy of Notorious Liz (who always seems to come up with wonderful music for us)! We’re adding in Red Cavalry and their new album The Geography Of Nowhere.

Red Cavlary has been tearing it up on college radio with their single Anonymous (which we’ve added) and now they’re about ready to do it again with the cool number Where The Blood Runs From (which of course we’ve added!).

Brooklyn based Red Cavalry is Joshua Gelfand, Jay Stanton, and Mike Caruso, and although their name is pretty new (they were originally called Masters of the Lunaverse), these guys have been rocking for a while now. And with this sound, they will stay around for a while, too. We’re happy to have their sound here on the Radio Free David!

As always,
Enjoy!
