Biography

The Clashtones are a newly formed, groovy six piece, hailing from Melbourne’s east. Combining a mixture of musical styles ranging from deep soul and RnB, to reggae and Latin-tinged funk, they are one of the hottest up and coming bands in 2008.

The Clashtones continue to find the beauty in fusing different genres together, such as hip hop with jazz, or Latin with funk. Their original tunes are hot enough to fire up any crowd, and with a few cover songs thrown in from some of your all-time favourites, they never fail to keep you wanting more. Their influences range from James Brown to Shapeshifter, from Sia to The Roots.

Having played their first gig to a full house at Melbourne’s Manchester Lane in October 07, this set the stage for a very solid fan base eagerly anticipating more shows in 2008, and, with their debut EP due for the spring, they should only continue to impress.
