The Clergy

BandRock

You just thought Rock Was Dead! We do one thing well, ROCK! The Clergy is a gritty, in your face band. Our original music is straight ahead, shake your soul, grab your beer, turn it up LOUD, and do what feels good Rock n' Roll. Check us out at http://www.myspace.com\theclergymemphis

Biography

Our inspiration, you ask? We are an all original, high energy rock band. We spring from the same well as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers, The Black Crowes, Linda Rondstandt, Curtis Mayfield, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Humble Pie, and Mississippi John Hurt. The list goes on, but the picture is clear.

Lyrics

CHECKIN' OUT

Written By: Matthew Neilson

Always said you'd meet your maker-
Much sooner than you'd thought you'd would
To A Prince this is no great price-
But to a poor man it's a "never should"
*Baby baby said where you been -
It's hard checkin out when your checkin inbaby
baby said your livin in sin-
Hard checkin out when your checkin in
The deepest seas can't sink your problems-
All your lost loves have all lost their minds-
The one's who love you are right there for you
And the ones you want you can never find
*baby baby.............
CHECKIN OUT WHEN YOUR CHECKIN IN
(can never )
