Bio

Starting in the winter of 2011, The Closers came together from the remains of the many lost adolescent genres, such as punk, hardcore and psychobilly. Starting with the original line up of Brodie(Vox), Chris(Guitar), Andrew(Guitar), Axel(Bass), and Danny(Drums), We initially came in with the idea of creating another dance band such as Two Door Cinema Club, Foals or even The Strokes. It was these influences that drove us to try and reach new heights with our own brand of indie dance rock.

As 2012 started, we had begun our venture in to the L.A scene as well as also hitting a few pit stops in San Francisco, Long Beach and even Indio. By mid year, we were to record our fist E.P, Endless Bummer. Naturally, we were all very excited on this new piece of work that we were finally going to get to expose to not only the L.A scene, but basically as far as we could push it.It was by July that we really started seeing a great divide in our once beloved project. It was by the end of that month that we had lost our drummer Danny. Then as if that was not bad enough, we got messaged that our singer could no longer pursue music like he once had. Finally, after two weeks, we then lost our bassist. It was at that point that Chris, and myself(Andrew), knew that we could not just let all our hard work go to waste so we took it as a challenge. I am very happy to say that 5 months after half of our bands departure, we have completely reinvented our band with some of the most talent and driven musicians we know. It is now with this new lineup of Jon(Vox), Raul(Bass), Chris(Guitar), Andrew(Guitar), and Eric(Drums), that we have started to bring more energy to our recent shows to really leave our audience in awe and really captivate them.

Since 2011 though, our sound has really developed in many ways that we can truly say we are proud of. It is now that we started experimenting a great deal with not only new guitar effects but with even newer percussion instruments, as well as new vocal harmonies. It is also since that time that we have hit a very surfer-esque sound which can be compared to that of Beach Fossils or our dreamy sound that can be compared to Bombay Bicycle Club.

As we begin to regroup and regain and even create new connections, we are more driven than ever to do what we love, and we will stop at nothing to achieve this endeavor.
