Bio
The Coastals started out as Jake Meaney - Bass/Vocals (Seattle, WA), Shawn Rojas - lead guitarist and background vocalist (Fresno, CA), and Carson Cress - Rhythm guitar (Atlanta, GA) in 2009. Even though distance kept them apart, music wouldn’t. Band meetings and songwriting sessions went on for hours and days throughout the bands first months. Eventually...they met. They rocked...they bacame best friends.
In late 2010, The Coastals added to their roster, brother and guitar player/vocalist/Bass Player TJ Meaney and
drummer/vocalist Eliot Stone. Making the band five very talented men ages 15 (Shawn), 16 (Carson), 17 (Jake), 18 (Eliot) and 19 (TJ).
This first release of The Coastals (the band from “Heart to Heart from Coast to Coast” (as their "logo" describes)
reveals these young men’s diversity, which includes original songs from the creative minds and hearts of it’s
members. The self titled release by The Coastals is a collection of songs that take you all over the place emotionally and sonically. The album is co-produced by The Coastals (Jake, Shawn, Carson, TJ and Eliot),
Brian Fennell (Barcelona) and Musician/Producer Timothy James Meaney. The album was also mixed by various mix engineers around the world including Brian Eichelberger (Barcelona), Ralf Conrad (Stuttgart), and Timothy Meaney (Seattle).
