The Coast of Nebraska washed up on the languid shores of Upstate New York armed with a dripping pen, a satchel of sinewy melodies, and an unquenchable lust for pop euphoria. However, it was several years, Matt needing to complete a degree in trees while Will completed an intensive course in banging things with sticks, before these intrepid fellows managed to settle and hammer their musical transmissions and dulcet mischief into bite sized baubles. This enterprise hardly arrived fully formed: Matt wrote his first full fledged song at the age of 16 about a particularly forlorn music box in his grandmother's house and tenured with such acts as Funktopus (Funktapaus?) and The Hindu Tradition. Will too has been writing songs at a steady drip since his angst ridden teenage years and spent time groovin with such acts as Roadside Weather, The Pet Ghost Project, Matt Worden and most recently The Rosewood Thieves. Now riding the same harmonic horse, the boys mix their disparate spices and sounds into tasty sonic stews with the stove cranked to 11. Dig in.
