THE COLD COLD HEARTS were born in Brooklyn, New York after three 20somethings from Southampton, England submitted demo recordings of their first practice to the 2007 CMJ Music Marathon. Waitlisted by CMJ the guys decided to head out to New York anyway and after five days of “networking” secured a Friday night gig at the Laila Lounge in Williamsburg. A fantastic Brooklyn crowd witnessed the first ever live performance of THE COLD COLD HEARTS and the experience created the band which until then had only existed on an application form. Influenced by Blues Rock, Neo-Psychedelia and Americana THE COLD COLD HEARTS have harnessed the bright lights of the big city to create a sound which offers a commentary on America from a uniquely British perspective.
