"The Color Truth"

...The band is all about craft, and the months it spent on Proof of Life have certainly paid off in that regard. Just try to find a flaw or crack in these relentlessly slick and likeable-enough songs... - A.V. Milwaukee -- The Onion

"Enjoying The Experience"

The crowd was responsive, clapping and swaying... appearing to be lost in the moment. The Color Truth has the ability to transition between soft melodies, down tempo, and strong choruses... which allow the audience to become immersed in the performance. - The Waukesha Freeman

Bio

Some bands rely on gimmicks or novelties to win an audience. The Color Truth rely on making great music. In a relatively short time, the Milwaukee-based quartet has won an ever increasing audience with its remarkable brand of straight from the heart rock; a blend of unforgettable melodies, intelligent lyrics, and powerful music. The Color Truth's current, debut EP, Proof Of Life, is evidence of the band becoming one of the best emerging acts from the Midwest.

Comprised of Zach Steinbach on lead vocals and guitar, David Streese on lead guitar, Dana Nielsen on bass, and Frank Babeck on drums, the band is a musical partnership in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. "Our goal is to make honest music - our own straightforward pop/rock," declares Zach.

After forming in late 2006 and playing their first show together at Milwaukee's Summerfest in July of 2007, The Color Truth entered the studio in early 2008 to record Proof Of Life. By all accounts, the band's breakthrough came during the recording of "Moment Of Release." As Zach recalls, "We needed to create a mood with the song - contemplative, reflective and emotional. We really had to strive to reach it, but when we were laying those huge sounds down, we knew we captured it. It was then we knew that we really had something as a band."

The band is currently gigging two or three nights a month, focused on building upon their hometown buzz and following. "We've barely scratched the surface of what we're capable of," says Zach-"We're committed to getting this EP in front of people and having these songs heard." Quality, timeless songs delivered in epic live performances can only imply a bright future and rewarding career for The Color Truth. This is music worth listening to. This is a band worth rooting for.
