Bio

Formed in 2003 under the title “Manola” , around four talented and ambitious musicians, what is now known as “The ColourCode” began writing and giging in and around central London and the Camden scene. Since 2004 they have continued to play London venues, with a growing and enthusiastic following, but have mainly focused their energy on developing a series of high energy songs which draw on a wide range of musical references. The gigs are not times you can have a snooze in the audience, The ColourCode’s music is going to wake you up and grab your attention, with its roaring precision rhythms, and guitar riffs and vocals that sear and soothe by turns and often together. Not to mention the attention demanding performances given by front man David Logan, and the unified onslaught of melodic mayhem provided by Guitarist Michael Patterson, Bassist Iain D’costa and Drummer Tom Jordan. Swimming against the flow this music does not fit into the mindset of modern dance pop rock. After a number of shaking set backs, this band built a recording studio in the loft of their London apartment with the view to giving full commitment to the recording of a fully realised album. Working constantly since January 2007 in their stuffy sweat box studio, and with the outstanding help of producer Richard Matthews, an album of 12 unique songs has been realised with results that one would expect from London’s top studios. With a new album, new name and a refocused drive to take on a rapidly changing live music scene, “The ColourCode” is here to demand your attention and in the process show you a seriously good time.
