Bio

The Come Latelys began with singer-songwriter John Williams, and multi-instrumentalist Mike Harmeier. In the winter of 2005, after releasing an alt. country EP recorded in their Austin home, they recruited a rhythm section in friends Kyle Ponder and Matt Smith. Within a month of heavy gigging at venues like the Saxon Pub and Ruta Maya, the Come Latelys were selected by the "Zig-Zag Live Club Tour" for a showcase at Austin's Emo's with Oakley Hall and Constantines. "The Come Latelys’ slowed-down but jazzed-up alt-country will break your heart and make you fall in love at the same time."- said Zig-Zag. Since then, the Come Latelys have adapted their sound to the Austin live music scene, exploring the more epic side of their indie rock and country mix. Recently, the Come Latelys filmed a DVD at the Saxon Pub showcasing their new style. While always experimenting with new musicians and styles, the Come Latelys' future looks very bright.
