"The Co-Pilots – Flight Suit (Mixtape)"

Fresh-Grind.com is proud to present the highly anticipated project from the Chicago duo, The Co-Pilots. The two have been working together on this project for a while now and they’ve produced a dope 17 track project for everyone to enjoy. Seriously people, don’t sleep on these two. I’ve never sponsored a project before and I’ve had a lot of offers, so for me to actually sponsor one means they’re dope so check this project out! Hit the jump for the tracklist and download.

"New Grooves: The Co-Pilots- Flight Suit (Mixtape)"

Here’s a new mixtape from two college-educated, south-side natives called The Co-Pilots (Alex P Keaton and D Brash).

I got wind to the Co-Pilots collab by communicating with Alex P. Keaton via twitter. Sidebar: I always thought Alex was dope when I first heard him featured on Vic and Suli’s “We’re Just Disappointed” project. The song was called At Its Peak. It was the…”I think Jody Weiss tryna’ kill me.” line that resonated with me. lol

I asked group member Alex Keaton why they call themselves The Co-Pilots and he said because either one of them could be in the “driver’s seat” on any particular day. Allow The Co-Pilots guide you to your destination with Flight Suit.

Bio

The Co-Pilots consist of both Alex P. Keaton and D-Brash. The group was formed in 2010 by the two MCs because they were tired of the music around them. So, they decided that they would combine forces and make music that they wanted to hear, which happens to be similar to that of the 1990s. "Real Hip-Hop" is what The Co-Pilots stand for and real music is what they intend on producing . The two MCs represent the South Side of Chicago and also graduated from H.S. together, which makes their connection even stronger given the fact that they enjoy the SAME music. The Co-Pilots' influences are Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang Clan, The Lox, Max B, Common, Lupe, Kanye, Jay-Z, B.I.G., 2Pac,Gangstarr, Black Sheep, Black Moon, Digable Planets, Pete Rock, EPMD, REDMAN, 8Ball & MJG, Bone, The Roots, Badu, Michael Jackson, Prince, Kid Rock, Run DMC, The Fat Boys, Dr. Dre and Quincy Jones.
