Biography

Gordon Cormier has been performing professionally for the past two decades across much of North America. He has recorded a total of 5 albums prior to the formation of The Cormiers which was mostly made up of original material. Gordon has countless hours of studio experience producing for other artist including himself and playing a wide range of musical instruments such as Guitar, Mandolin, Button Accordion, Mandola, Harmonica, Bagpipes, 4 & 5 string Banjo, Bodhran, Tin Whistle, Fiddle, Tenor Guitar And currently working on Saxophone & Pedal Steel Guitar. Gordon's songs are a huge part of what makes The Cormiers unique. He is able to bring to life the ceilidhs of the past through touching stories of his childhood in songs such as "Saturday Night Ceilidh" and "Memories of You". Other songs such as "Moving Away" & "Not Me, Not Now" highlight the struggles by young children today when they find themselves in difficult situations. Gordon Can be found all across Canada performing as a solo artist entertaining crowds till the wee hours of the morning. He works hard to bring it back home to his wife & three kids.
