"The Courtesans - Dirty Killer"

The Courtesans is a four piece band of ladies with emphatic personalities and this is their latest track “Dirty Killer”. They play a brutal mix of seductive, heavy electro rock and don’t hold anything back, as you could probably tell from the sheer volume of this track, and the video for it too. Goddamn.

“Dirty Killer” is a beast of a listen with all kinds of swooping synths leaning in and out of the limelight to create a beat that could trap any poor soul into grooving along mindlessly to it. Guitars ring out in such a grimy fashion that it becomes the only thing keeping everything else stuck together, and the vocals cap off what’s already a chilling listen with an equally haunting performance. It’s all kinds of horrible, but is just so very good.

The Courtesans have easily left an impression on us now, and after checking out their strangely groovy cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Venus In Furs” we can’t wait for their debut album to come out. Check out the video to “Dirty Killer” below and wonder how bad the uncensored version could be. - Elusive Little Comments

Bio

Raucous guitars brush up against thigh-skimming angelic chords and seductive sounds; their unpredictable music is however wrapped tenderly in the feminine form. Restless, tortured by their own dreams and a passion for their art, the secretive band have decided that their time is nigh.

The Courtesans are Sinead La Bella (Light), Agnes Jones (Darkness), Saffire Sanchez (Rebel) and Victoria Brown (Temptation). Debaucherous, vicious and addictive, the band’s brazen take on The Velvet Underground’s ‘Venus In Furs’ set tongues wagging.

With a uniquely theatrical take in their approach to sensual, ethereal trip-hop, The Courtesans are currently recording their debut album, supported by a huge hypnotised fanbase and fully-funded by a successful Pledge campaign.
