WHO WE ARE: The Coveralls are a classic rock cover band, playing some of the most popular songs from the last 40 years. Based in Ventura County, in Southern California, the band plays in a variety of venues, from restaurants, to dance clubs, to wine tasting, to car shows, to wedding receptions, and even headlining at large public functions. But we are just local business owners who happen to love playing music.
WHO HIRES US: Our customers are typically clubs, restaurants, local municipalities, event organizers, fund-raisers, and service organizations. Our fan base tends to be the 35 and older demographic as well as a fair number of even younger folks - who perhaps appreciate real music more than some of their contemporaries. From the stage we often see families of 3 generations collectively enjoying the music we grew up.
WHO WE ARE NOT: We are not a rap group or hip-hop band. Neither do we play songs with profane or controversial lyrics. We are also not a “library quartet.” Although we avoid overpowering our audience there are some venues, typically outdoors, that require decent volume levels.
WHAT WE CHARGE: Fees for performances range between $400.00 - $2000.00, depending upon a wide variety of factors, not the least of which are the length of the show and the sound system. If not provided by the venue, we do own and can provide a sound reinforcement system which involves some expensive equipment. If we need to transport that system or hire an outside company for that purpose, those costs have to be factored in. Holidays and out-of-town performances can affect pricing as well. At the same time, we try to be good citizens and offer discounts to charities. We’ll try hard to work within any budget. After all, we’re not doing this to get rich and famous.
