Craig’s parents knew something was up when they found him leading the orchestra from his highchair at the age of two while listening to the radio. A very small set of drums arrived for Christmas at age four, followed by a piano with lessons at age eight. His teacher knew Craig was gifted when he came to his lessons playing his own piano compositions instead of the assigned exercises. By age 10, his uncle Bob had imparted to him a basic understanding of music theory and harmony. Craig began playing guitar at age twelve and soon started playing at his friends’ birthday parties for money. Getting paid to have fun was a pretty good idea, he thought. By his junior year in high school he had 24 guitar students and a very popular rock ‘n roll band, working in bars and clubs with a fake ID. He began recording his original songs on his four track studio at home. This led to his first professional recording session for Liberty/UA Records. While living in San Diego, he played his original songs with his 10-piece band Freedom Quest. The band included San Diegans writer/performer Bill Richardson (aka Jose Sinatra) on violin and vocals, Maxxine Sherman on flute, Sodie Arcia on percussion, Broadway dancer/choreographer Debora Masterson on vocals, and Troubadour magazine founder Kent Johnson. World-renowned keyboardist and composer David Benoit was also in the band. By the age of 27, he was producing and arranging for Barry White’s Soul Unlimited Productions. His two recent albums "World on Fire, Songs for Peace" and "Can’t Stop Now" are available on iTunes and CDBaby.
