~ABOUT THE CRASH MODERNS~

"Every generation has its favorite pop flavored rock. The '60s had The Monkees, the '70s had Sweet, the 80's had The Cars, the '90s had Barenaked Ladies, and 2009 has The Crash Moderns - ABSOLUTE PUNK

The Crash Moderns, NYC’s stand out Power Pop Rock quartet have been touring the US, Canada and Japan since the release of their highly anticipated debut full length CD, “Goodnight Glamour, Good Morning Disaster”.

In just a few short years The Crash Moderns have had the extreme pleasure of sharing the stage with some incredible artists such as The Goo Goo Dolls, Bowling for Soup, Lifehouse, and Bon Jovi.

Most recently The Crash Moderns were the added support on many of the Bret Michaels, "Rock of Love" tour dates.

With a sound that is often described as pulling the best of the classic styles of timeless pop bands like The Cars, Elvis Costello and Cheap Trick, coupled with the energy of today’s best modern rock acts, The Crash Moderns are winning over new music fans daily who are buzzing about their infectious melodies and undeniable hooks that stick in your head after just one listen!

2008 and 2009’s constant touring schedule included stand out tours and showcases around the US, including a headlining appearance at Blender Magazines Spring Break Concert Series. All Time Low, Cartel and We The Kings were a few of the other bands on the event.

In spring 2008, The Crash Moderns first single, “Pimp My Life” was seen and heard across US television sets, as the trailer theme song for the 20th Century Fox movie, “The Rocker”, starring Raiin Wilson.

Summer 2009 saw another great achievement as The Crash Moderns were given the incredible honor of traveling to Japan to play for our US troops stationed on the island of Okinawa.

After returning home from Japan, The Crash Moderns immediately began work on brand new songs which would soon become their follow up to “Goodnight Glamour”.

In April 2010, The Crash Moderns released their brand new EP, "In Case You're Listening" to rave reviews.
The new EP was recorded with producer/engineer Mike Lisa assistant to David Bendeth (Paramore, All Time Low, Mayday Parade).

~PRESS~

The Crash Moderns are fantastic. This Time, Everybody Hates Me, Hello World, All About You, and Everything At Once is 100% killer. As soon as we saw this band live they impressed us immensely. The CD backs that up totally. - BLACK VELVET MAGAZINE

Having opened for Bon Jovi, Bowling for Soup and others, this NYC-based pop/rock quintet has fans buzzing over their infectious melodies and undeniable hooks. - ASCAP REVIEWS

"Well-rounded, hook-driven and highly layered vocals rule the day and pounding pop melodies explode around every corner. It's the type of commercial power pop that the masses who picked up Rooney and Maroon 5 would welcome. Built on beefy rhythms and unforgettable riffs, The Crash Moderns soar effortlessly to a place where joy, goose bumps, and repeated listens are unavoidable. The rush of guitars and classic vocal pop stylings make this an exhilarating, refreshing and spectacular debut." - NOT LAME

If Marvelous 3 had a head-on collision with Cheap Trick, the end result would sound something like the glorious power-pop-rock in evidence on The Crash Moderns' self-titled debut EP. - INK 19

"There are so many tracks on this record that have single written all over it. These songs will remain in your head for days..." - MELODIC.NET

"...the absolute essence of flirtatious, effervescent, sublime pop music. With their fresh pop hooks and the synth high in the mix they have created an energetic, effortless and playful sound." - BLOGCRITICS.COM

Lyrics

This Time

Written By: Danny Roselle

Can’t ya wait around? I think I’m going down.
Remind me how it feels to feel, we’re not that different you and I.
I’m not the subtle kind. I wasn’t hard to find when I’m the guy that’s standing here.

Memory lapse and photographs that don’t look right.

When your world stops spinnin and my my mind stops trippin this time, this time.
When I feel less scattered, you’re the one that matters this time, this time around.

I’m waiting at the phone, you’re coming up unknown.
I need to hear your voice to make, to make me understand that I’m
not coming undone, and maybe you’re the one to come and make me whole again.

Memory lapse and photographs that don’t look right.

When your world stops spinnin and my mind stops trippin this time, this time.
When I feel less scattered, you’re the one that matters this time, this time around.

Everybody Hates Me

Written By: Danny Roselle

I can’t buy a clue but I hear that they’re goin cheap.
I’ve been half blind and that’s the better half of me.
Drink me till I’m wrong and I’ll write one more song about you.

I can’t say your name without a chill around me.
I couldn’t sleep a wink, and my head feels funny.
You blame and then complain, and then more of the same.
And I’m gone, it goes on and on.

Keep me in your mind when you think what you do to me
Keep me in your mind when you rip on my family
Keep me in your mind now that my life’s a tragedy
Everybody loves you, everybody hates me.

Kickin with my friends cause they like you better
I guess they saw the horns, and helped burn the letters
The proof of who you are, gone, like every scar on my back
As it all goes black.

Keep me in your mind when you think what you do to me
Keep me in your mind when you rip on my family
Keep me in your mind now that my life’s a tragedy
Everybody loves you, everybody hates me.

And how it started with just a kiss
And everything that I seemed to miss
And every time that I couldn’t go
And all the things that I thought were right
I can’t remember one tonight…….

Pimp My Life

Written By: Danny Roselle/ Jon Matias

What could I say today, you finally get me, better than most…
She’s famous with everyone.

Played down, glamour crown, slumming in the lost and found.
Whatever turns you on….

She’s every girl who flipped off the world.
She makes it all too sweet, to ever be mad……

She wants me, and I will never let up…
I can’t hold back….

I don’t need your money, or your drugs, or your love, or your California sun. I’m the one going numb, in your memory still.
C’mon, C’mon, I’m a bargain for the price.
So baby you can pimp my life……

Another holiday of project save me, haircut and clothes, she’s the rave up to everyone.
Make up, change the sound, love it when you tune it down….
Get back fifth Beatle…

She wants me, and I will never let up…
I can’t hold back….

I don’t need your money, or your drugs, or your love, or your California sun. I’m the one going numb, in your memory still.
C’mon, C’mon, I’m a bargain for the price.
So baby you can pimp my life……

Love me faded, scene frustrated, things we said today.
Leave me better, bleed you tender, hit me back someday…

Where'd All The Scene Girls Go

Written By: Danny Roselle, Tommy Eichmann

Nothing hits the same way, same way, anyway.
Nothing hits the same way.
Ya know the city can't sleep with all these secrets to keep.
Turn the lights down, no one'll find out.
Our love is a fix, you know me better than this, we'll be ok.
Wake up, just wake up. Only you can save me...

Wait, wait, tell me we're all gonna be ok.
Would you be there if they took this city away.
Kiss, kiss, I know what I'm gonna miss.
They don't make 'em like this.
Oh, oh. Where'd all the scene girls go?

I got you all figured out,
there's just a beat and a sound.
Take me over. I'm fine if you're fine.
Girl on video, no sleep radio, don't try and let me go.
You're every beat of my heart.
And you can't break me.

When it's gone and there's nothing to say.
Let it go and ya just walk away.
Waking up on the wrong side of fame and now that it's over.
Over and over...
