"excerpt from "Music Without Borders""

"...Their CD is, in a word, intense; not hardcore or punk intense but musically intense. 'Everybody in the band is into intense music, music that has the most passion' [Matt] Brenna said....If you count a previous CD of demos that they released over a year ago, then the band is already on to their third CD...Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Eats World, The Get Up Kids and the British band, Elbow, are all current favorites of the band and you can hear bits of influence here and there, but what you mainly hear is new, original and sometimes brilliant..." - The Sitting Duck

"excerpts from This week's blast: The Crossing"

"...this group of pubescent youths had some points worth listening to, and some music worth listening to as well. Obviously still evolving, (they're 14- and 15- year olds remember; how could they not still be evolving?) The Crossing -- at least at this point -- attempts to blend ear friendly pop rock with an experimental side, producing a fresh sound that's both pleasant and challenging.
Best of all, they have a hell of a time doing it, taking extreme pleasure from playing live." - The Weekly Volcano

Bio

Our music is a blend of many different influences, some from classical rock and blues, and some contemporary. We all contribute to our songs. Sometimes Matt and Tyson develop a guitar riff, with Cary and Jevon adding their bass and drum parts, and Nate adding lyrics after the instrumentals are complete. At other times, Nate will write lyrics, and the rest of us will fashion a song around them. Our songs range from soft ballads to upbeat rockin' tunes to edgy, hard songs, to poppy fun. Our sound has been described as "pleasing with an edge" and our performances as "a group that takes extreme pleasure in performing".
