THE CROWD 3:
ADELINE PETRICIEN
Adeline was born and raised in Paris from a Caribbean father and a French mother. Surrounded by and passionate for music, she started singing at a very young age and was accepted in a professional choir when she was only five years old. She rapidly trained her voice and ear and had her first studio and stage experiences. As a child performer she sang on TV shows and took part in musicals that toured all over Europe including singing back up for Michael Jackson, Cesaria Evora and many French major recording artists. At eight years old, Adeline recorded an album with a group of eight other children. The successful single "Change le Monde" a cover of Michael Jackson's "Heal the world" in French opened to more TV appearances over the country. As a teenager and a professional singer, Adeline developed a personal and artistic song writing style in English as well as in French- Adeline studied English from elementary school to college and is fully bilingual. Adeline pursued her career as a live performer while attending high school in Paris, an important scene for R&B, hip-hop and jazz music. She also did numerous solo concerts and showcases. She honed her vocal skills to perform soul, jazz, gospel and R&B, and dance music depending on where she was performing (theaters, piano bars, lounges and dance clubs). Meanwhile, she also worked as a back up singer continued taking voice lessons and taught herself guitar. In january 2007, Adeline joined legendary acid jazz/hip-hop band Us3, famous from world success hit "Cantaloop". The new album "Say What" in which she features on eight tracks, is available since May 28th. Hot single "Say you belong to me", written by Adeline, received great reviews. (video available on you tube) The band started touring in May with a first show in Norway and performed at biggest jazz festivals around Europe throughout 2007. 2008 should be a big year in Adeline's career. She is working on her solo debut album collaborating with different producers. She also writes for other artists and will be involved in several projects

You can find Akil Dasan walking the streets of Harlem, a guitar slung over his shoulder, his face hidden in a hoody. Making his living in the schools, in festivals overseas, in the clubs, and wandering the planet with his guitar, a beat and an arsenal of stories. A b-boy-poet-producer-musician, Akil embodies virtually every significant musical movement from the early 1920’s until now. Combined with a freestyle ability that he has honed everyday since freshman year of high school, Akil legitimately bridges the gap between musician and MC.
After graduating from Central High School in Philadelphia, Akil got a scholarship to study music and creative writing at Columbia University and has performed everywhere from New York City, LA, Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Las Vegas, Reno, Aspen, Houston, Austin, San Francisco, Portland, Boston, Virginia Beach, Prague, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Milan, La Caruna, Madrid, Warsaw, Japan, Paris, Zurich, Stockholm, Oslo, Munich, Berlin, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane to London, including tapings for MTV, ABC,
