THE CRUSH

It comes as no surprise that Phoenix band The Crush would choose their hometown as the locale to launch their winter tour. The young quartet, which ranked No. 23 on the Top Unsigned Albums on Smartpunk, is touring in support of its debut, Physical Education. The disc is a combination of booty-shakin' electro-pop, hip-hop, and indie rock and features tracks with amusing titles such as "Boogie Baby," "Rad Girl," "House Party," and "Rolling Stone." After cruising through California, Nevada, Utah, and Washington for a brief tour, the group will return to the AZ for an all-ages show at The Clubhouse on December 18 with Weird Is the New Cool and Haffo. We're guessing they won't hit the road again until after the holidays, so catch them while they're here.

...Next up was the Crush which I'm currently listening to. I had never heard of them before and I was pleasantly surprised w/ how good they are! Their sound is quite unique but in the not-anyone-has-this-kind-of-sound-which-makes-it-good kind of way. It reminds me of....well, I'm not sure what it reminds me of but it's good. I recommend them too! and the guys are super nice! especially Omni who ate w/ us at Denny's and made sure to learn everyone's name! i got their c.d and a t-shirt.

This band is amazing and the songs on this album are all great. Catchy melodies over tight electro/funk beats. Throw in a little hip hop and you've got physical education. Buy it!

The Crush Are Crushin

The Crush is an amazing band out of Arizona. They've done quite a few tours, and I was lucky enough to see them on Blood On The Dance Floor's OMFG Tour! I fell in love with them then and there[: Their cd, Physical Education, is just as amazing. I love all of the songs, but House Party is my favorite. The Crush brings in old school funk, with new electronic sounds, amazing vocals & raps, and some pretty wicked guitar here and there[: Not to mention that all the members of The Crush are completely wonderful and sweet <3. You will NOT regret buying Physical Education, it is just absolutely great. - Fans
