"Matt Arant"

“Some ome of the heaviest rockabilly punk I've ever heard. The singer crooned out
some brash, bluesy lines before howling like a dog and quivering on the floor, Jim
Morrison-style. These guys had the fans bouncing to their 50s throwback jams.”

- Nuvo Newsweekly

"Danica Johnson"

“These guys are the obvious choice of opener for the Reverend Horton Heat.” - Nuvo Newsweekly

"Angela Smith-Johnson"

“That bunch is like the Stray Cats on acid, and they are, if nothing else, fun to watch.”
- Nuvo Newsweekly

Bio

Formed in late 2003, The CryptoKats have quickly
established themselves as a top-tier act in the
Midwest’s growing Psychobilly movement. Although
a relatively new band, The CryptoKats are
leveraging a collection of veteran musicians to
provide a highly energetic and entertaining live
show.

To date, the band has been able to bridge the gaps
of Rockabilly, Punk, Metal, and Garage Rock fans
alike. Make no mistake, the band is a Psychobilly
outfit that has been described a a bizarre mixture
of The Stray Cats and Eddie Cochran, topped off
with a fuel tank filled with nitromethane.

If you like the following bands, you just might like
The CryptoKats:

Phantom Rockers, Nekromantix, Demented Are Go,
Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, The Stay Cats, The
Reverend Horton Heat, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Iron
Maiden, and KISS.

The band is currently in the process of producing
their first full-length CD, and has recently released
a preview EP titled "Three To Get Ready". 2005 will
include expanded national presence with possible
East and West coast mini-tours. Recording and
mixing is being undertaken at Echo Park Studios in
Bloomington, IN under the watchful eyes of Kevin
Loyal and Rich Trimble.
