The Curtana Veil first formed in the spring of 2005.
Its only member was Ryan Austin Kanterman at the time.
His unique sound of acoustic, folk, rock, and
storytelling was just enough for him to hit the
road down the east coast by himself.
He took his music and his studies overseas for a brief
4 month period to London,UK and decided there that his
songs were missing something...a band. So when he
returned to the US in the summer of 2006, he started
jamming with Dave Kaplan (Bass), James Patterson (Drums), and Brian Smith (Guitar) to form the ideal sound to compliment his acoustically driven songs.
Today, The Curtana Veil is putting together a full
sound reminiscent of Kevin Devine meets Foo Fighters
meets Jack Johnson meets Brand New.
