Lyrics

Truth in Exile

Written By: Tom Short

I met a man who was wandering travelling in exile
came from a country whos name I had not heard
told me of greed and he told me of hatred
all in a land of such beauty words fail to describe
he said he was forced to leave for he had told the truth
though there was greeat wealth for all it only fed a few
bright and pinpoint percise
can't you see
we are right here right here living in paradise
cant you see we are right here right here heaven on earth
many had left for his country made war on itself
I met a woman a wanderer vagobond gypsy
told me of love and she told me of glory and truth
told me of those who keep people in ignorance
so fear will divide them and they will make war on themselves
truth is not ambiguous nor is the truth obscure
truth is like a shining star
bright and pinpoint percise
can't you see
we are right here right here living in paradise
cant you see we are right here right here heaven on earth
those who fear truth tellus those who tell truth tell us lies
