"CD review by Peter Merrett"

Guys we have just received your fantastic self titled CD "The Dandelion Greens" and have had a mountain fueled mess of fun listening to it. Love the sound of Joe and his Rockabilly inspired slap bass resonating throughout the CD. You got me Joe! From Bluegrass to Oldtimey, to Country, to Folk, to all manor of Americana you have covered it all so very well. Your songs are great, as is ALL of the instrumentation and singing, oh, that singing is just so good. To me there is also elements of Alt Country added to the mix all melding into a CD to party to and have some good ole fun. Our listeners will fall in love with this one. Congratulations on a wonderful CD. - Peter Merrett, Music Manager for PBS 106-7 FM Melbourne Australia - PBS 106.7 FM Melbourne Australia

"CD review by Rudy "Country Eagle" Minnaert"

First of all I must gratulate you with this awesome and fantastic album you made. I enjoyed every second of this musical higstand. The combination of the different instruments are overwelming perfect. When I read the lyrics which are standing in the booklet, I feel that behind every songs there is a hidden story and by singing the lyrics the hidden story become a live. The style of music is bluegrass with a great folk influence and that make this album very interested. I listen a view times to this album and the more I listen how better the songs and music sounds and when you close your eyes, you can see what happens in this songs. I love all the songs on this album but the tracks no1,7,10 and 12 are awesome to listen to. Your are great musicians and you know how to lay your soul in your music and the way you sing it is for me the top of the bill. My advice to you is stay on this track and I already looking forward to your new album when it comes out. I find it always strange why don't we hear more such good music like you have made on this album and I can't understand it why many radio station won't play this music than I think they don't know what music is and the music of you, you can write it with a big M for sure. - Terneuzen 107.8 FM The Netherlands

Bio

The Dandelion Greens came together one winter as a couple of folks attempting to express their version of the American experience using whatever instruments happened to be laying around in the barn at the time. Eventually, the merging of upright bass and accordion with acoustic guitar made sense, later to include fiddle and banjo, and anything making noise that could be strapped or somehow taped to their bodies. Often described as bluegrass-ish, some have called them alt-country, old time, or even folkabilly. Either way, their refreshing sense of storytelling lends well to the true seekers of authentic Americana.

The Dandelion Greens can and will play anywhere with or without a roof and can perform as either a duo, or as a three to four piece band. Writing all of their own material, The Dandelion Greens' music is innovative, yet hauntingly familiar, bringing hearts to pounding and feet to tapping, while elevating curiosities with their creative blend of instrumentation and multiple instrument musicianship.
