"The Dangerous Colors"

The Dangerous Colors are a hip hop infused rock band hailing from Cleveland, Ohio. A member of the kushNERDS collective, TDC has striven to create its own brand of music and will continue to do so. A five piece band blending thoughtful lyrics with funk bass lines, heavy guitar, soulful keys, and drums that hit you like a shotgun, TDC makes music to be felt more than heard.

"Getting to play Summer Roc in Cleveland for two straight years have been two of the biggest shows that we have played so far."

popVLTR: You've been making moves in Cleveland, how'd you get into music? The Dangerous Colors: We all got into music in a variety of different ways. A couple of us are classically trained, and a couple others just started by picking up instruments and playing in garages. As a band, we all started playing together in early 2011 and solidified our lineup fairly quickly. A few jam sessions and bottles of whiskey later, we recorded our first demo.

popVLTR: Congrats on 'Trigger Finger', who are some of your influences? TDC: Thanks! Trigger Finger was one of the first songs we ever wrote together. Individually, we all have vastly different influences, and each of us brings something to the table which helps us to craft our original sound. We have a classically trained bassist, a jazz pianist, a Mars Volta/At The Drive-In-inspired blues guitarist, a punk rock drummer, and a frontman whose influences range from Outkast to Manson. All that put together makes us who we are in terms of our sound, and we continue to explore that.

popVLTR: What are some of your proudest moments in music so far? TDC: Getting to play Summer Roc in Cleveland for two straight years have been two of the biggest shows that we have played so far. We were also finalists on the RoverFest battle of the bands this year, which allowed us to get played on Rover's Morning Glory, one of the most popular morning shows in the Midwest.

popVLTR: What cool stuff is on the horizon for The Dangerous Colors? TDC: Our E.P., "Heavy Spectrum" is now available on ITunes, and we have a new single coming out at the end of August called "Low Sun", with a video coming out for that around then as well. We'll also be going back in the studio in the fall to record our next E.P., which will hopefully be out by the beginning of next year. - PopVulture Entertainment Network

Bio

The Dangerous Colors began in the Spring of 2011 with five guys crammed into a living room practice space at Bobs house in Lakewood, Ohio. Taking influences from a laundry list of great musicians, as well as each others own style of artistic portrayal, The Dangerous Colors (TDC) has had one goal in mind since it began, and thats to create and project its unique brand of hip-hop infused rock. With a mixture of elements of funk with classical influences along with punk, prog rock and great lyrical flow. TDC continues to push the envelope and bring somthing new to the sounds of Cleveland. Following a demo EP Anti Gravity and a string of singles, TDC have released their full debut EP Heavy Spectrum to the world on March 2013
