Bio

The Darling Sins were formed when Leni and Joe met at a gig in Dublin and decided to meet again for a jam. The jam was good.

They have recently been appearing at Electric Picnic, the Cork Opera House, on BBC 6, and are currently working on their debut album. They are loving every minute.

They are influenced by :
Arcade Fire, Beach House, Bjork, Bon Iver, Ennio Moricone, Hope Sandoval, Joan as policewoman, Kristin Hersh, Kurt Vile, Mark Lanegan, Nick Cave, P.J Harvey, Pink Floyd, St. Vincent, Stornaway, The Cure, The National, The Pixies, Tom Waits, Beirut, Jeff Buckley, Philip Glass, Pierce Turner, tUnE-YarDs.

“…a bunch of raw, hugely promising, slow-motion blues tunes with plenty of crunch in the mix…”
Jim Carroll, The Irish Times

"...a real talent"
Jackie Hayden, Hotpress

"On disc, The Darling Sins are soulful, sensual and new. On stage, they add another layer of startling visual excitement with Leni moving non-stop to a silent sensual rhythm inside her head and Joe providing meticulously beautiful support on guitar and piano. The energy is absolutely contagious!"
Pierce Turner

“ I’m a devotee.”
Martin Mills, founder and chairman of the Beggars Group
