"This Cat is way too pretty to make good music"

The first time I saw David
Samuel Project play, I thought
To my self, “This cat is way too
pretty to make good music.”

Standing on stage with a
Bandanna wrapping his blond
Locks, mirrored glasses
Reflecting neon beer signs over
His eyes and the posture of a
Rock deity, he looked more like
a male model than a road-
weary musician.

Then the group started to play,
And any thought of the word
“poseurs” was wiped from my
mind with the ferocity of a
Texas flood.

On “Ashur,” they combine Tower of Power horns with funky blues guitar riffs. On “Ingram House,” they paint a picture of artistic tenacity with soaring vocals and a dark, epic musical framework. On “Take Time,” they create a song so insanely catchy that you’ll be singing it to yourself even as you curse Samuel for pushing repeat on your internal iPod.

"Portland Waterfront Blues Festival"

I get hundreds of press kits and I usually only have time to listen to a few seconds of the demos I recieve. When I heard David Samuels I listened to the whole thing. I have not heard guitar playing like that in a long time.

Bio

New Destiny recording artist DSP would love to be considered for your venue this year. They are opening up for 3 Dog Night, Los Lonely Boys, and will be performing on the main stage of the 2nd largest blues festival in the USA at the PDX Safeway Waterfront Festival this year

David Samuel is also the guitar teacher of Disney Records guitar and bass players for Everlife. They are currently on tour with Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and Cheetah Girls etc. David Samuel is also responsible for creating the guitarist for many other record labels bands.

David Samuel achieves palettes of color from his Stratocaster, driving the guitar with funky wah-wahs, smooth sustain, walls of feedback, and any limitless combination of tonalities to color his songs with life. This is rock n' roll with all its roots intact, a hint of blues, a touch of funk and soul, a storm front of energy unleashed from the first note to the last song of the night!
