Bio

The Davis Project is the creation of keyboardist Glen Falkenstein, with Joel Bridges & Jim Maddox on bass & drums, & Johnny Peyton also on keys. Renowned woodwind wiz Phil Lawson is also involved these days, as is guitarist Phil Orton. Bringing together the combined experience of over two decades of playing clubs, frats, & everything in between, from the east to the west coast & beyond, this music is as smooth as a vodka martini, but can also erupt with jungle intensity at any moment. While the bass & drums lay down the tightest of grooves, the interplay between Falkenstein & Peyton on keys forms a canvas they can paint with many different colors, whether it's Orton's bright guitar splashes or Lawson's mellow gold sax sounds. This band is a treat to see live, with compositions flowing in & out of one another in beautiful symmetry. Falkenstein is also producer of this group, & has brought all his skills to the forefront on this, their debut release. Like a good jazz band should, the Davis Project shows us both the dark & light side of the human experience while letting the listener fill in the gaps between. Share with a loved one.
