The Dawn Armada

Back in 2006 Jake White and Johnny Digges had the vision to start a band that was different than the rest. With the saturation of heavy metal bands in the Midwest, Digges and White wanted a sound that was well perceived by all but also had the intensity that makes The Dawn Armada the force they are today. In January of 2006, White moved to Florida for a job with intentions of coming back to Tulsa to pursue The Dawn Armada. From 2006 to 2007, Digges and White wrote numerous songs and brain stormed ideas through hundreds of long distance phone calls. In January of 2007 White came back to Tulsa to find the remaining members of what would become The Dawn Armada. In Early 2007, Digges and White acquired Bassist Isaac Baker and continued to write new material into the winter of 2007. In Spring of 2008 after trying out dozens of singers, front man Aaron Harris from Muskogee (former singer of Aesthetic) showed interest in The Dawn Armada. After the exchange of some demos it was apparent that he was a perfect fit. Since their conception, The Dawn Armada has played with touring acts such as The Human Abstract, Oh Sleeper, Emery, Violence To Vegas, Vanna, Straight Line Stitch and The Destro. In December of 2008, The Dawn Armada played the main stage at the Cain's Ballroom for the annual Jingle Bell Ball and in March of '09 finished 2nd place in the Music As A Weapon Battle of the Bands. In The Summer of '09 The Dawn Armada plans to record their first full length CD looking to have it completed in the Fall of '09. The Dawn Armada has set sail into the local music scene looking to give listeners something new and fresh to their ears.
