Bio

The DeadBeat are a four piece band from Coolock, Dublin, comprising of ; vocalist & guitarist David McGorman, vocalist & guitarist Gareth Fitzimons, bassist Josh Stanley and drummer Darren Fitzsimons.

After the demise of local bands “The Groove” and “The Wicker Shoes”, the members met with fresh ideas, crafting songs that reflect their broad range of influences, from 60’s R&B bands to contemporary electronic and everything in between.

With three different songwriters in the band, The DeadBeat have a huge catalogue of original material, and have been performing their live set in bars and clubs around the country, building their fanbase and perfecting their craft.
2012 has seen the successful release of three promotional videos, and a host of free downloads, exciting the ears of fans and critics alike.

After signing to Irish independent label Azzura Records at the end of the summer, work has begun on their debut EP and will be released as a free download online, alongside a special edition CD being made available in selected stores around the country.

"It baffles me how this band don’t have a cult following, as they sound exactly like the next generation of disillusioned debt-kids SHOULD sound. Bold, cynical, and kinda pissed off." Paul Kavanagh -'Chew Your Own Fat'

"Great track, first Irish band with an actual marketable sense of melody and character of sound that I've heard in a long, long time. As a psych rock fan, I can't praise this enough... sent it out to everyone in my contacts."- Robbie Kane-‘The Psychedelic Society’. (Reviewing ‘Phoney' Promo)
