Biography

Genre: Alternative Southern Rock

Bio:

Bred on the vast farmlands of the South, The Dead Rebels combine a three-guitar attack, loud, driving drums and a groove to conquer the concrete jungle to create a brand new paradigm worthy of being called alternative southern rock. Searing solos with heavy riffs conjure images of the illegitimate child of AC/DC and Lynard Skynard. Armed with these elements, they have already dominated the competitive L.A. club circuit catapulting them to the top tier of performers on Music Connection Magazine’s “Hot 100 list for unsigned artists for 2005.”

The Dead Rebels recently completed their debut self-titled album recorded at the legendary Cherokee Studios and produced by The Robb Brothers (The Lemonheads, Buffalo Tom). Before their fans could even purchase the new CD, their album was featured on KLOS 95.5’s Local Licks show, LA’s foremost Classic Rock station. The new album continues to gather momentum as their radio support grows all over the country and abroad.

Head rebel Lance Palmer brings his unique outlook from his upbringing in rural America as he followed the big lights into the city. After cutting his teeth as a performer with a slew of other musicians all across America, a vision of what would later become The Dead Rebels materialized.

The Rebels continue to stun onlookers with their phenomenal live shows. As a result, their songs were picked up for placement in a variety of network and cable shows like FX’s “The Shield,” for its upcoming season and also in MTV/VH1’s fall lineup. Now, to bring music back to truth and justice ‘the Dead Rebel way,’ they have signed with Quarter2Three, an independent record label born out of the renowned Cherokee Studios in Hollywood.

Lyrics

PCH

Written By: LANCE PALMER

I’m gonna move my ass up the pch
Start doing drugs start being late
Over invest in some real-estate of some girls heart and loose her in the quake

I’m gonna say goodbye to this hollywood life
full of attitude empty as a lie
Talk my buddies into stopping bye
It really takes an hour I’ll tell em’ 45

I’m gonna get me a dog and name him the kid
'cause thats as close to a daddy as I’ll ever get
You tell me to grow up but the damage is done
My daddy died left me a fuckin’ trust fund

I’m gonna move my ass up the pch
Start doing drugs start being late
Over invest in some real-estate of some girls heart and loose her in the quake

This trust fund life can get lonely
'cause my buddies can’t afford to move to the beach
Maybe get me a rich older woman that lies
about her age I’ve seen em’ so fine
With a hot little daughter about one nine
see her and her little friends on the side
I got a guitar a cell and place with vibe
and a georgia boy can survive

I’m gonna move my ass up the pch
Start doing drugs start being late
Over invest in some real-estate of some girls heart and loose her in the quake

Fill up my big gas gusler with some over priced gas
and piss off the hippies while I cruise for ass
I got my windows down and my back in black up
yackin’ on the phone about industry stuff
You wanna be over heard when you got it going on
Yeah I’m a bad mother fucker with mt trucker hat on
Yeah I’m a von dutch hatin’ though ugh appreciating
Just don’t wear em’ when it’s hot
Darlin' thats all wrong

I’m gonna move my ass up the pch
Start doing drugs start being late
Over invest in some real-estate of some girls heart and loose her in the quake

Real Hollywood Ending

Written By: Lance Palmer

She moved out from Illinois
she left bother her folks destroyed she said ill make it with her nieve little voice

She moved out with her boyfriend neil
but neil didn’t have a movie deall
she moved in with that director in the hills

She got invited to party
but never had she even tried weed but that coke was just a networking technique
She got herself a manager man
he takes 15 percent any way he can that’s the way it works
he says you understand

Chorus - And it's a real Hollywood ending, a real Hollywood ending, a real Hollywood ending

He got himself a college degree moved out to Los Angeles
he got a job serving coffee with room for dreams

he got himself a number ten hit made a little money up his nose it went
he’s got nothing but death to show for it.

Chorus

She’s gotta get…an agent
He’s gotta get…

Chorus- And it's a real Hollywood ending, a real Hollywood ending, a real Hollywood ending

Against My Skin

Written By: Lance Palmer

Decadence, no matter where I go,
it always seems to be the climate.
Is there an explanation
down in mexico?
Well I ever make it back to the world, little girl.
Well I’ll be sure to let you know
Until then freedom, oh freedom
Feels so good against my skin.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of gone
always seems to be my home.
And what ifs can be so damn irritating
when you go and do something wrong.
But I’m shaking hands with new chances
and when the opportunity ends,
Don’t ya know freedom, oh freedom
feels so good against my skin.

Having a drink with my situation
discussing my fine disposition.
Even though I’m no longer cradled
in the warmth of history and tradition.
But I’m accompanied by liberation
but don’t you assimilate me with sin.
Just because freedom oh freedom
feels so good against my skin.

So bartender pour me another
young female and fine.
Don’t ya know intoxication is waiting
in the form of red hair and green eyes.
Dancing again with my addiction
and it’s good to meet you miss shelby lynn.
Let me warn ya know freedom oh freedom
feels so good against my skin.

And she said let me warn you
Freedom oh freedom
feels so good against my skin.
