The Deafening formed in 2007 breaking out from from its initial mold as Cocaine the Band, A Loud, hard hitting 80's style hair band. Many of the stage theatrics as well as the loud rock show format carried over from this original band concept. in 2010 our first album rattlesnake sex show was released. We played a long list of packed in performances in New York City and gained a following as one of NYC's best rock shows. We have followed that up with our second record. "Central Booking" an album that is harder, faster, and funner then our first. We are influenced by a long list of bands including. GnR, Foofighters, MC5, Iggy pop, Kiss, The Rolling Stones, ACDC, Queen, The Misfits, and many more. Our trademark is our unique blend of classic rock, pop punk, and sleaze rock blasted through big guitar stacks, with one of the most interactive and memorable stage shows ever put together. We turn live music into what we think it should be. a party.
