Bio

“The Death of Her Money” hail from South Wales UK, having spent the last five years finding their way to something that offer’s a unique take on heavy music, (no generic description needs to be inserted other than it’s heavy, and it’s music) to explain what it sounds like is not a very easy thing. Constructed from improv, TDOHM's spacious, simplistic driving rhythms and a sound that flows down to the dark pit via strange discordant melody, off-kilter chordal progression's accompanied by intense screamed vocals and layers of feedback that crack through the battered beast that will go down fighting.
During the last 3 years they have remained fiercely D.I.Y. with a 7” vinyl (Rat Patrol Records), the “Flood of Love E.P.” (Via they’re own Suntreader Recordings) and debut album “Spirit of the Stairwell” (Superfi Records / Rat Patrol records/Suntreader), which has had praise from the British rock press as well as rave review’s from around the globe, the album had a 9/10 review in Rocksound magazine and was also voted number 44 in the magazines top 75 album’s of 2008 (beating the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Mogwai, Weezer) and having just finished the recording of they’re 2nd album titled “You Are Loved”, (Label TBC) they look set to expand their horizons with an even better set of heavy down-tuned fury.
Early 2010 also gives birth to the release of a limited edition split CD with Russian band "Helga" on the Russian label KarmaMira Records that promises to be an intensely dark collaboration.
They have always kept up a busy touring schedule around the UK and Ireland and have toured/shared the stage with the likes of This Will Destroy You, Fuck Buttons, The Icarus Line, Envy, Part Chimp, Taint, Bossk, Monarch, Manatees, The Mirimar Disaster, Humanfly and many more great bands from afar.
