Biography

The Defiance unofficially started in early 2009 when guitarist/vocalist Andrew Winders and drummer Nathan Kohl got together to start a "rock band". Shortly thereafter, they were joined by guitarist/vocalist Phil Frey, and later, bassist Drake Hopke. They were known then as Clint Eastwood and the Midget Punchers. They learned some cover songs and played for there school's Courtwarming Dance. Soon after, they changed their name to The Defiance and got a gig playing a battle of the bands. They were forced to play without a bassist due to Drake leaving for personal reasons.
