Biography

Formed in May of 2012, The Delaplains are already showing themselves to be one of the brightest new bands on the Manchester music scene, with an ability to produce ’finely crafted, intelligently constructed compositions‘. Inspired by a combined love of 60's pop structures and post punk shoe gaze guitar, the bands output culminates in a unique, modern guitar pop sound.

The quartet released their debut EP ’Gypsy Blood’ in December. With it’s delicate, reverb laden guitar and accomplished melodies, the 12 minute record is a demonstration of an undeniable ability to write adventurous pop songs with strikingly catchy choruses.

Just a month after the release of ‘Gypsy Blood‘, the band were hand picked by a small independent record label in Minnesota, striking a deal to release their EP on limited edition vinyl in both the UK and US. The title track from the EP has recently featured on NME.com and a video for the song is due for release, with the vinyl, at the beginning of March.

The Delaplains’ debut EP ‘Gypsy Blood’ is out now. Download for free at thedelaplains.bandcamp.com.
