The Demise are a punk band from Limerick City, Ireland and have been playing together sice 2005. In this time we have built up quite a reputation in our home town and have played around Ireland as well. Sometimes nearly not making it home because of our drummer and his excentric driving nature.Anyway, we have always gotten a really good crowd reaction in the places we have played. Last Year we were semi-finalists in the Coca-Cola Blastbeat Competition. It is a national comp with over 400 bands from all over Ireland playing. Further from this one of our songs was featured on the Blastbeat Vol. 4 Double CD. This compilation reached number 16 in the Irish charts. Blastbeat also ran a programme on RTE2 during the comp and our song was featured on one of the programmes. We were also finalists in the Revelations Band Competition held by Riddlers Bar in Limerick, competing against bands from around munster. We have also had local radio play on Limericks Live 95FM aswell as on 2FM. Recently we played two support slots with English Ska Punkers Capdown to which we recieved a good reaction.
We are now working on recording a full length album at the end of the summer.
