Bio
The Descenters are a goth-inspired, electro-alternative rock act based in Brisbane, Australia. Motivated by heartache, philosophy, fine wine and literature, The Descenters sound like a mix of Placebo, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bauhaus and The Smiths. The Descenters are the brainchild of Matthew Stoff - the lead-singer, lyricist, songwriter and instrumentalist behind the project. He is joined on stage by David Macdonald: button pusher extraordinaire.
