The Devils Cousins

Our music is kind of an infused "Rock, Metal, Experimentation" mix. We like metal and speed metal and we just play what we feel. Now our band, "The Devils Cousins", was created when Nicholas Zito thought that we should "compete" against the "Naked Brothers Band". We had been playing a concert where "the Devils Cousins" were playing with "The Goldentones". The Goldentones were an instrumental surf style band that Dominic Zito, Joe Zito and Chad Lewis (who also happen to be our dads and uncles) played in in the early '90's. They went to SXSW in 1995 and played at the Saxon Pub. What our band - The Devils Cousins - decided to do is this ... although Joseph Zito had been playing the drums since he was 4, but instead decided to teach his cousin Anthony the drums while Joseph would opt for the guitar and their cousin Nicholas would play the bass ... hence the name "The Devils Cousins". We began playing as a band in 2008 and we haven't stopped since. We are all self taught except for what we teach each other. Most of our music is instrumental, but we do sing in a couple of our songs. We have 2 CD's that we - ourselves with some help from Joe Zito Sr.- have recorded on our computer and we actually sell them on E-Bay. The first CD is called "EGG". It's named after the first song that we wrote that is basically played with the notes EGG. The "Egg" CD has ten songs on it. The second CD is called "Medusa". We believe the song "Medusa" is the best song on that CD. The "Medusa" CD has nine songs on it. We design our own CD's and we pick the song order ourselves. Our main influences are Metallica, AC/DC, Iron Maiden and A Bullet For My Valentine. We would love to have the next "chapter of our story" written in Austin, Texas at SXSW!
