"Out with the old, in with the...old?"

"The Deviltones' debut album mines the same proto-punk garage sound as similar recent acts like The DATSUNS or The FORTY-FIVES, and it's very admirable that the Deviltones stay so true to their three-chord ideals, hurling fuzztone riffs that sound like the MC5 jacked on espresso."--All Music. com

"C.O.S Supershow 2003-LAs Vegas"

"These guys kick ass with good rock & roll such as "Cockpit" and "Fire Blood Motor". This is good stuff with a southern spin on rocket-fueled 50's-inspired garage trash." - Maximum Rock & Roll/Bruce Rohers

"Cursed with Firepower"

"Their modus operandi involves a big, splintery, nail-filled mallet made out of Motorhead, Dwarves, and Zeke riffs. And a maybe little Skynrd..." - Sleazegrinder/Classic Rock Magazine UK

"Cursed Again"

" I dunno what the hell The Deviltones do different than the 5 zillion other bands that do this type of thing, but, man, there are sparks flying off this disc. It’s that one in a million chemical click that predicts at least some level of greatness above and beyond the norm." - Hellride Music

Bio

The Deviltones have been deafening fans since 2000 with their fierce, no-hold-barred attitude towards rock & roll. With 4 releases under their large belts, The Deviltones have been known to pack ‘em in with delight, garnering opening slots around the USA with bands like GWAR, JEFF DAHL, VERBAL ABUSE, ALL, THE DESCENDENTS, THE FORTY-FIVES, THE CANDY SNATCHERS, WALTER LURE of the HEARTBREAKERS (Thunders, not Petty!), ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER, ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY, CHEETAH CHROME of the DEAD BOYS, REV. HORTON HEAT, ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN, THROTTLEROD, TEXAS TERRI, JUCIFER, BROKEN TEETH, ANTISEEN, WEEDEATER, BAD WIZARD, and many, many more. This list shows the diverse array of bands The Deviltones are capable of pairing with.

Dates of Interest:
· Joining The Deviltones in 2003 was Steve Baise of The Devil Dogs, adding guitar works to “Cursed with Firepower”.
· Voted “BEST PUNK BAND” at the 2004 Virginia Music Awards, beating out the likes of The Candy Snatchers and Fighting Gravity.
· In 2004, “Demonboy” Don Cilurso of Texas Terri & the Stiff Ones joined the band for their tour & recording of “Riding the High Horse”.
· September, 2005, Demonboy volunteered to help the victims and pets of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA, leaving The Deviltones to do some good for the US of A…he was able to fend off would-be looters & attackers while helping those in peril for 2 weeks during & after the storm.
· As a result of Demonboy’s efforts, The Deviltones donated 100% of CD sales to Hurricane Katrina Relief , some $$ to organizations, some $$ went straight to families in need.

In July 2006, The Deviltones escaped to a secluded retreat in the rolling splendor of DIXIE, (that’s southern USA to ya’ll) in which to inspire new material for their upcoming studio album, slated to start recording in mid winter, ’06. The band is currently booking a tour for March 2007, making the pilgrimage to Austin, TX’s mega-conference known as South by South West (SXSW).

Thriving on the last breath of glam, trash, and firepower, The Deviltones deliver an exciting array of songs geared for music fans with the spirit of the 1980’s, when music had no political or social allusion, and everybody was out to have fun. They are giving fans what they are asking for- with a slight sense of danger, living hard & fast ‘cause we might die tonight…no tomorrow, just here & now.
