Bio

A shed camouflaged by southern pines in Sarasota, Florida is the birthplace of The Devin Robinson Band. Born "Devin Robinson feat. Boogie Bear" in the September of 2009, Devin and drummer, Ryan Elwell, got their start dancing, singing, and music playing at every pizza joint, bar, house show, and campfire in Western Florida.

As a humble duo, Devin and Ryan released a self-recorded demo and began working with FinchHouse, a collective group of musicians in Sarasota living under one roof. Through FinchHouse, Devin and Ryan began playing bigger and better gigs, including the Noise Ordinance festival in Sarasota which was attended by over 1,000 local music fans in February 2010.

Before toting their two-man folk show up to an Atlanta gig in March 2010, the band acquired bassist Dre Randaci to the line-up and became The Devin Robinson Band. (And much sexier.) After the March trip to Atlanta, Asheville, and Tallahassee, DRB recorded a six-track EP in May at The Fort studio in Orlando. (The EP was recorded and produced by Brooks Paschal and features Luke Davids on keys.)

In the summer of 2010, DRB leased a tiny house in Nashville, Tennessee and relocated. They have become relentless road dogs ever since, abandoning all decency and commodities to tour the South, playing everything that moves.
