Bio

The Din met whilst huddled in the doorway of a dilapidated Edwardian boudoir in Newcastle, 2008. In finding kindred spirits, realizing they were all nothing but vagabond misfits, the three musicians chipped in and rented an old disused bleach factory, where they spent their days crafting rootsy tunes, roasting fresh coffee and entertaining the seagulls that nested on the glass roof.

Since releasing their debut album in November 2010, the band has relocated to Camden Town, London. Living and rehearsing together in a crowded bed-sit, their sound has evolved, incorporating gypsy-jazz, eastern-European and middle-eastern traditional music, whilst retaining the melodic alternative psychedelic pop from which it was formed.
