The Dirt have just released "Nowtro", a CD/DVD including; 9 Songs, concept videos, photo slideshows and live performance video. The band is the driving force behind Tractorgrease.com a multi media music site, so it was a natural choice to produce this project D.I.Y.
J Kleiss (Vox and Bass), Jeff Bonner (Guitar and Vox), Shaggy (Drums and Vox) and Randall Taylor (Rock Guitar and Vox) formed the band in fall 2004 while on a cross Canada tour promoting another project Relic's Jetboat. This tour promoted a Hockey song "Do it for the Game". The band was featured on over a dozen TV stations including Global National as well as radio play and newspaper across the country and as far away as Slovakia.
When the band returned home to The Fraser Valley in British Columbia, Canada, it was time for something more serious. The talents of the band emerged, along with a sound they call West Coast Canadiana, a mixture of swing beats, blues, reggae, alt-country and rock.
Inspired by their varied musical influences (Sublime, The Smiths, Neil Young,Tenacious D and Kiss) this unique sound is best expressed in their entertaining live show, and has been captured in the Audio/Video offerings in "Nowtro"
