The Dirt Road Travelers are an Americana/rock band based out of southwest Virginia. They have released two full length albums of original material since 2010.

Biography

The Dirt Road Travelers are an Americana/rock band based out of southwest Virginia. Waylon Hatchett and Jason Long began playing together in 2010 and went on to record their debut album “Disasterpiece”, which was released independently on October 26, 2010. Ed McGee, who had previously played with Waylon in the band Sycamore Stone, provided bass throughout “Disasterpiece” and along with drummer Michael Okuley, officially joined the band in late 2010. They released their second full length self-titled album on October 1, 2011, which was recorded at Michael's civil war era home in Bedford, VA during the summer of 2011.
