He is a well respected writer and performer and internationally recognized writer. He is also currently a member of the americana act ' The Lost Immigrants who have three highly regarded albums to their credit and are currently touring in support of their latest release.

Kevin Cervenka, or Hank Van Hawkins, is a writer and performer that reminds some of Hank Williams senior, with the drive and candor of Hank the 3rd. His music and style is hard driving, but his lyrics and intent are as sincere as any writer to come from the highly competitive Texas music landscape.
