"Round-Up: Sleaze"

Tough no-lip New York rockers with a local supergroup lineage (Sex Slaves, Great Jones, Drag Citizen, Goodfinger) that pay adoring homage to several decades' worth of hometown heroes. Not since 80's lipstick punks Sweet Pain has a band so seamlessly appropriated the pop hooks and street fightin' vigor of Starz to say nothing of the proto-pink belch of The Dictators and the gypsy drawl of The New York Dolls.

Effortlessly groovy tracks like 'Rockstarlivin' and 'Hollywood La La La' flow like hobo piss in a Bowery back alley, and hand-clapping rockstarve anthem 'Don't Blame My Rock N' Roll' is a perfect slice of winking bubblegum sleaze. - Classic Rock Magazine

"Unsigned Bands"

The Dirty Pearls are a fabulous retro rock band that would have easily fit alongside with the likes of Bon Scott era AC/DC, The Sex Pistols, Sweet, Thin Lizzy and classic Kiss. Their self titled EP will raise some eye brows with their infectious grooves, sweet sing-along choruses and power riffs a la Angus Young. Tommy London is ready to challenge his contemporaries like Josh Todd (Buckcherry) and Scott Weiland (Velvet Revolver) for king of the rock n' roll dirty pile. The best moments of their EP are 'Rockstarlivin' and 'Cannonball'. This is pure fun, catchy as hell and will linger in your mind for hours after the first listen. The Dirty Pearls are essential listening for the fans of Buckcherry, American Pearl, The Sex Pistols and The New York Dolls - Ruben Mosqueda, Pivotal Rage

Bio

Brand new but already a classic, The Dirty Pearls come straight from the streets of New York City, all sex, drugs and rock n ' roll bravado delivered with sharp hooks, witty lyrics and a seedy swagger reminiscent of the finest 1970's-era rock acts. Fans have christened the band the "Supergroup of the East Village" as much for their pedigree (their lineup boasts former members of some of NYC's best and most beloved local bands, including The Sex Slaves, Great Jones, Drag Citizen and Goodfinger) as for their consistently sold out - every gig to date, in fact - live shows.

The band's history begins with lead singer Tommy London, who in early 2006 set out in search of four fine young men eager to stir up some NYC-style rock n' roll; four guys intent on resurrecting the magic conjured by The Ramones and The New York Dolls. Guitarist Johnny B. and drummer Marty E. arrived first, followed soon after by guitarist Richie White and bassist Doug Wright. And The Dirty Pearls were born.
