"The waiting is over!" sings The Dirty Sunshine's Rick McNerny, in his operatic howl. You almost wonder if he's singing about Disclaimer, the local group's years-in-the-making debut, finally being released tonight at the Rex Theatre. (Part of the delay has been understandable perfectionism: McNerny teaches recording technology at CAPA High School.) On Disclaimer, Queensryche riffs meet alternative-rock melodies and art-metal instrumental prowess — which ends up, as the band's Web site notes, "a punk rock Rush." Also performing are Donora and DJ Gordy; the bleak post-industrial photography of Matthew Murray — featured on Disclaimer's packaging — is also on display.
