"The Discordians live at Swan Basement 3rd October 2010"

"...a laid back vibe for the afternoon was soon turned around by duo act The Discordians. A heavier guitar and synth combo mixed together formed something you would expect to hear in a sci-fi flick. Their electronic tracks were intense and filled with a passion from both members of the band... entrancing their fans with a rhythmic and vocally dynamic set" - Drum Media 7/10/10 - Drum Media

Bio

The hypothesis that the single flap of a butterfly’s wing can create tiny changes in the atmosphere that could eventually effect the path of a tornado is a well-known allegory from chaos theory. What is not so well known, is that the humble city of Mandurah, Western Australia, is in fact the tornado capital of the world, and coincidentally also the birthplace of The Discordians, an electronica pop duo set to emerge, like a butterfly from its suburban cocoon.

The Discordians were borne of two Lees- Lee Pike and Lee Kennedy - to collaborate together on a vision for a band whose mandate would be to perform dazzling trip-pop and bamboozle its listeners both sonically and visually. The Discordians are equal parts space dance, trip hop and steampunk, with an overall spattering of Milky Way aesthetic.

The Discordians have been collaborating diligently on an absurd conglomeration of trip hop beats, echoing chants and ebbing, vivacious melodies, such as those that feature in the post-apocalyptic catch cry of ‘Modern Kingdom’, or ridiculous dystopian dance ditties, like their first release ‘Monsters’.
