The Dispatch

The Dispatch

We primarily play party rock covers from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Sweaty, boozy, loud, fun and rockin', yet professional. I describe our original material as "neo southern rock" -- it has a strong blues and country influence.

The founding members of The Dispatch began playing together in another band in 1993. The group independently released a CD of original music in 1995 and were voted one of the top local bands by readers of Augusta Magazine.

Walker, Mastromonico and Clemons regrouped as a power trio under the name The Dispatch in 2003 and are proud to now have more than a dozen years of music experience, performing live well over 200 times at clubs, festivals and private parties. Recently added to the lineup are Ritchie on lead guitar and Buffett on sax.

We like all kinds of music, including everything from jazz to bluegrass, but our collective musical influence is in guitar-driven rock from the late 60s to mid 70s, particularly British blues and Southern rock bands such as Zeppelin, the Stones and Allman Bros.
