Imagine an indie, classic rock, hard rock and metal artist all getting together to form a band. Now put them in a room and let them fight out their conflicting differences for a year or two. When they come out, the meld of genres has achieved a musical balance with qualities that everyone can enjoy. That's The District Heat.
Based in Calgary AB, The District Heat is a four-piece indie rock band with a sound that has been described as "bluesy rock with pop sensibility". Their driving guitars, dynamic rhythms and rich vocal harmonies echo the energy that cascades from the stage at every one of their shows.
It only takes a glance to see that their enthusiasm on stage is a reflection of how much they love what they do. Together with love and support from dedicated fans, the band is continually inspired to create new music and put on energetic live performances.
