"THE DIVE BAR STALKERS/First Show"

THE DIVE BAR STALKERS
Goodfellas/Tampa Fl. 12-1-06

Last night at "Goodfellas" was the Debut Show of "The Dive Bar Stalkers".

The Band had two opening Groups, "Lance Allan" and "Butch Ryan". Each group brought a different sound and style with them. Both the opening groups played very well. "Lance Allan" reminded me of watching an early style of "Bon Jovi" very powerful vocals and great Guitar Work. The Drummer and Bass player were playing very tight and seemed to be in perfect sync. This group did a great job and I hope to see these guys again.

"Butch Ryan" took the stage next. Playing some really solid tunes and a lot of which were Originals. "Butch Ryan" seemed to have a unique style. Very energetic and with some flair "Butch Ryan" seemed to appeal to many people. "Butch Ryan" did a great job of playing some very good "Music".

"The Dive Bar Stalkers" had the place packed with tons and tons of friends. Each of the band members with the exception of one have been playing for many years. "Jeff Vitolo, and Mike Allen" both former members of "Intice" once again put together their formula of showman ship as they have done many times before. Pounding the Drums was none other than "Mike Luciano" who once played for a band called "Tyger Tyger" a band that "Jeff Vitolo" also played with many years ago. Not missing a Beat "Mike Luciano" made sure that people heard his "Thunderous" playing and keeping perfect rhythm.

Singing back up and Harmonines were none other then "Jeff Vitolo's and "Mike Allen's Girlfriends. These Ladies in addition to being Beautiful Ladies were singing perfect Harmonies which filled a vital part of the Groups Vocals.

On Guitar playing great Leads, and Rhythm, was "Bob Addington". "Bob" kept the rhythm together while playing dual leads with "Jeff Vitolo". Then picking up the "Acoustic Guitar, Bob" started to play some very warm and up lifting melody in a ballad written by "Mike Allen". Needless to say "Bob Addington" also played with great showmanship.

On the Bass "Mike Allen" did a great job playing some very solid groves as well singing great backing Vocals "Mike Allen" was in classic form. "Mike Allen" also showed the crowd some moves by spinning his "Fender P Bass" around his neck. Getting attention of the Audience is something that seems to come easy for "Mike Allen".

Next up on Keyboards was "Anthony Landi" making his Debut appearance. "Anthony" playing some great melodies filling in all the spaces in each tune with perfection, was like watching a seasoned "Keyboardist" who has played out for years. One would have never suspected that he had never played in a band before. While being new to playing in the band it's certain that "Anthony" is well on his way to becoming a highly recognized "Musician".

The Front Man "Jeff Vitolo" made sure the audience was paying attention. With his new found style "Jeff" belting out some strong and crisp Vocals! While "Jeff" has done some singing for a while his new style reminds one a bit of "Rob Zombie" meets "Brian Setzer", yes Rock meets Rockabilly meets Alternative. This truly unique style was a huge hit with the audience. "Jeff" was also cranking some incredible Chords, Slides and definitive strong Guitar Leads.

It seems through the years that "Jeff Vitolo" has gone back to the roots of "Rock and Roll" both in Singing style and Guitar playing. "Jeff" has found that this is where many "Rock and Roll" Musicians need to rediscover what the Roots are all about.

"The Dive Bar Stalkers" were a huge success for their first debut show at "Goodfellas". For a band being formed in less then 4 ½ months they truly have come a long ways. The standing room audience filled with many friends of over 20 years for these guys and plenty of new people watching were treated to some great "Music" and a lot of "Fun"!

In short be sure to watch out for "The Dive Bar Stalkers" and get ready to hear "Rockabilly" like you have never heard before. Surely a treat for all who gets the opportunity to attend more up coming shows!

Be sure that you keep a look out shortly for a new CD to come out sometime hopefully around February. To keep tabs be sure to bookmark their Official Website http://www.myspace.com/divebarstalkers

If ever anybody wondered what happened to Jeff Vitolo, of Mojo Gurus-, Roxx Gang- & Tyger Tyger-fame, look no further; the man has been located. He is healthy & well and still rockin’ and rollin’, although on an altogether different level than with his previous bands.
Mr. Vitolo is taking life the good way, gathered a couple of Tampa Bay-based friends & chicks around him and started a rootsy rockband. With rootsy I mean a whole lotta blues, some rockabilly, truckloads of slide guitars, but overall lots of good times & fun.
The record imediately starts firing on all sixes with title song ‘Rock The House’ & doesn’t give up until the middle 3 songs ‘Hit It On The Highway’, ‘You’re My Old Friend’ & ‘Sweet Missy Blue’ where the tempo drops drastically, just enough to catch our breath for the frivolous ending threesome of the album with ‘Come On Everybody’ in a leading role.
In short, ‘Rock The House’ is a nice feel good party album from a band that most likely truly shines in a live environment. (KVK) - The Rock Report/Belgium
