We are five of about fifteen musicians in and around Lee's Summit, Missouri that have played music together since we were in middle school. The five members of The Dogface Avenger have each contributed to our sound through experimenting with solo projects
(recordings available on request). We have decided that the five of us mesh like brothers, and fully intend on touring for as long as Ramen is cheap. Our solo work has been influenced by everything from Minus the Bear to Yes and Rush.
We recorded our EP "We Put the Fun in Funeral" as juniors and seniors in High School. After the three song release we temporarily went on hiatus to pursue academia. After two years of drudging through misguided ambitions we're back to doing what we love, and in it for the long run. During the first week of August 2008 we recorded a 5 song EP in Hollywood titled Rainbow Elephants. Two tracks from this EP are available in this EPK. Our first single Hot Hot Tator Tot has been released on the Rock 4 Life : Volume 14 compilation available in select stores (Bestbuy and Walmart) and online through Napster, Itunes, Rhapsody and eMusic. We recently released a music video for the older single Hot Hot Tator Tot to promote the compilation (available now on Youtube).
We would like to take our most recent 5 song EP and add 5 more songs to complete a full length. We need funding to accomplish this in the immediate future.
